Lillie M. Smith age 95 of Marianna, FL passed away on Wednesday September 9,
2026 at Sunland Center Marianna, FL. Funeral services were held 2p.m. Thursday
September 17, 2026 at Sunland United Chapel on the campus of Sunland Center
Marianna, FL. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Marianna and with
Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing
Ms. Lillie Smith was born on April 6, 1931, in Selma, Alabama to the late Mr. Willie
W. Scruggs, Sr., and Ms. Regina Clark. Ms. Lillie was admitted to Sunland on
February 8, 1994, from Unit 27 at Florida State Hospital. She was residing on
Connally Manor-Sunland Center at the time of her death.  Ms. Lillie was known all
over campus for her love of nice things and her collection of dolls. She will truly be
missed by all that knew her. She formed a special bond with several staff on
Connally Manor, Ms. Rochelle Glynn and Ms. Rachelle Brady and her entire
Sunland Family. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her niece and
Guardian Advocate Ms. Sharon Carey of Pensacola, Florida, a host of nieces,
nephews, and her Sunland Family.
