Nancy Carol Pratt, passed away on October 3, 2026, in Marianna, Florida, at the age of 81. She was born on September 11, 1945, in Ithaca, New York.
For 65 years, the staff at Sunland provided Nancy with exceptional care, naturally becoming an integral part of her extended family. They cherished her presence and learned continuously from her unwavering spirit. Through her daily interactions with both staff and peers, Nancy quietly taught everyone around her the true meaning of empathy and unconditional love. She was a constant reminder to appreciate simple joys and to celebrate every human connection.
She was also greatly loved by her family members, who held her close in their hearts and cherished the many memories they shared with her over the years.
Beyond her deep love for her family and the Sunland community, Nancy found immense joy in life’s simplest pleasures. Whether she was listening to music, celebrating at birthday parties, or playing a competitive game of Connect 4, she brought a bright and relaxed energy to everything she did. She also possessed a wonderful sense of style and truly loved the excitement of getting dressed up.
Nancy held a special place in her heart for her sisters, Louise Bollman, Florence Marie Pratt Davis and Marjorie Ingram, whose lifelong support and affection were a profound blessing. She also fostered deep, meaningful connections within the broader Sunland community, leaving behind bonds of friendship and care that will be missed beyond measure. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
