Richard O’Neal Wilson Jr.

Richard Wilson age 64 affectionately known to his family as “Rick”, departed this life on October 5, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, October 15th at Orange Hill Missionary Baptist Church located at 816 Sunday Road Chipley, FL with Pastor Malcolm O. Nelson Reverend Richard O. Wilson, Sr. and Dr. George McElroy officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.
Richard O’Neal Wilson, Jr. was born in Marianna, Florida on August 26, 1962 to Reverend Richard O’Neal Wilson, Sr. and Barbara Ann Wilson.
He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He loved his family deeply and was an outstanding artist. His creativity and artistic gifts were a special part of who he was. His family will treasure his artwork and, even more, the love and memories they shared with him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents: Reverend Richard O. Wilson and Barbara Ann Wilson; his sons: Richard D. Wilson and Bryan O’Neal Wilson both of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandchildren: Ca’niah Wilson, Shi’miah Douglas, Anthony Bryant, Jr. and Mi’kayla Wilson; his great-grandchild: Sa’myra Douglas all of Jacksonville, Florida; his brother: Kenneth Wilson and sister-in-law: Michelle Wilson of Kempner, Texas; his sisters: Lori Wilson of Dothan, Alabama, and Maureen Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia; his uncles: Joseph Harrington of Jacksonville, Florida and Christopher Wilson of Fayetteville, North Carolina; his special niece: Ariana Gray of Atlanta, Georgia; his special nephew: Tyler Wilson of Copperas Cove, Texas; his great-niece: Milan Slydell of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of extended family members and friends.
Richard’s passing leaves a tremendous void in his family, but his love, his artistry, and the memories they shared will forever remain. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
