Ed was a simple man who found happiness in the things that mattered most to him. He enjoyed the comfort of home, watching old Westerns, keeping up with the news, spending time with his many beloved pets over the years, and, above all, his family. Ed wasn’t much of a people person and never needed a crowd around him to be happy. Those fortunate enough to truly know him, however, knew just how deeply he loved the people who belonged to him. The greatest love of Ed’s life was his beloved wife, Laura “Millie” Biss, who preceded him in death. Ed and Millie were married just shy of 60 years, sharing nearly six decades side by side. Their marriage was one of true companionship and devotion. They did nearly everything together, and their love could be seen in even the smallest moments of everyday life. Losing Millie left a space in Ed’s heart that could never truly be filled. He missed her terribly, and for those who knew the depth of their love, there is tremendous comfort in knowing that after years apart, Ed and his Millie are together once again.

Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura “Millie” Biss; his parents, Carlton and Grace Biss of Conquest, New York; and his sister, Marge Van Horn.

He is survived by his sons, Carlton Edward “Eddie” Biss Jr. and wife Cindy of Fadette, Alabama, and Richard Biss and wife Judy of Blountstown, Florida; his sister, Patty Gilfus and husband Dick of Port Byron, New York; and his grandchildren, Rachel and husband Brett Yates of Vernon, Florida; Ricky Biss of Live Oak, Florida; Tyler Biss and wife Katherine of Blountstown, Florida; Michael Biss and wife Sarah of Grifton, North Carolina; and Scott of Blountstown, Florida.

Ed was also blessed to see his family continue through generations, leaving behind 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Ed’s life wasn’t defined by grand gestures. It was found in the ordinary moments — the familiar Westerns on television, the routines of everyday life, and the family he quietly loved with his whole heart. Those seemingly small things are now the memories his family will hold closest. While saying goodbye to Ed leaves an ache that words cannot fully describe, his family finds peace in knowing that his earthly journey is complete. He is now resting in the arms of Jesus and reunited with the woman he loved for nearly 60 years.

After all those years of walking through life together, Ed finally made his way back to Millie.

A service celebrating Ed’s life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1117 Highway 171, Graceville, Florida 32440.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Ed’s memory to Gentiva Hospice in Dothan, Alabama, in appreciation for the compassionate care and support they provide to families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

He is survived by his brothers, James F. Johns, known as Frank, John R. Johns, known as
Johnny, and Carl L. Johns and his wife Sharon. He also leaves behind forty-two nieces and
nephews, extended family members, as well as lifelong friends David Pippin and Mike Andler.
His family and friends will remember him for his steady presence, his humor, and the many
ways he showed care through both words and actions.
Jearl Ben Johns will be remembered as a friendly and handy man who lived simply, worked
hard, and loved deeply. His life reflected the values of faith, family, and perseverance, and his
memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at McAlpin Funeral Home on Thursday, September
10, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM CENTRAL TIME, and service will be at 10:00 AM
CENTRAL TIME. Interment will be private.

Pat was a man who valued the simple joys that made life meaningful. He worked with his father at Marianna Vending for more than 10 years, where he contributed faithfully and learned the value of hard work. Pat also enjoyed writing songs, hand building guitars, and painting. These interests reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and they gave him a way to share his talents with others.

Pat was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Herbert Peacock, and his brother, Greg Peacock.

He is survived by his mother, Roberta Ann Peacock; his brothers, Douglas “Doug” Edwin Peacock and Gene Peacock; his sister, Loretta Ann McLean and her husband, Michael; as well as four nieces.

Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Alford City Cemetery with Pastor David McLean officiating.

Grady was born to Lamar and Georgia Mae Roberson on January 11, 1941, in Wheeler County, Georgia. Grady attended school in Wheeler County, Georgia. After school, he served his Country in the Army Reserves for several years and ultimately began his career as a sewing machine mechanic and quickly worked his way to a manufacturing manager. In the early 1970’s Grady relocated with his family from their home in Georgia to Bristol, Florida, and moved “across the bridge” to Blountstown, Florida, in 1979. As the manager of Blountstown Manufacturing Company, Grady was instrumental in bringing employment opportunities for many in Calhoun County at the manufacturing company.

Grady was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of sixty-four years, Carolyn Roberson. Since Carolyn’s passing on March 5, 2026, Grady missed his wife tremendously. The reunification of Grady and Carolyn was most certainly a glorious occasion. Grady loved Carolyn deeply, and together they raised three children, Lynn Wimberly (Rick), Grady Randall Roberson, and Melanie Mager (Chuck). Grady is survived by his children, grandchildren, Brandy Coburn (Shane), Jordan Crain (Brian), Hunter Barnes (Ashley), Jesse Wimberly (Kristie), Jade Ferrante (Anthony), and Colby Silverthorne, and by seven great-grandchildren, Grace Mills, Jayden Bennett, Brodhi Crain, Brayden Crain, Giada Ferrante, Jessa Coburn, and Lina Faye Ferrante. Grady was predeceased by eight siblings, Lamar (Junior), Bobby, Paul, Mary, Marty, Anita, Roy and Gussie. His sisters, Jewel Anderson (Robert) and Ruby Gibbs (Barry), are left to cherish their childhood and adult memories with their brother, Grady. Grady’s sisters-in-law, Anne Thompson (Louie) and Sue Hendrix, will miss him tremendously.

He had many talents and took pride in everything that he did; he often quoted, “If you aren’t going to do it right, don’t do it at all.” That included his love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved each fiercely and expressed it in words, actions, commitment, and most of all, genuine love. He gave his all to everything, most of all, being a husband, Daddy, and Papa.

Those blessed to know Grady knew his work ethic during his life. Grady was a man of faith, strength, and courage. Even during his years of sickness, he never stopped working. During his time of retirement, Grady especially enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his yard, and gardening. He exceeded every doctor’s expectation with his determination to go non-stop. Grady touched many lives during his time on earth and will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace, daddy, granddaddy, great-granddaddy, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle to many – you will truly be missed and always remembered for the love that you shared with each of us.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Dr. William Dixon, especially Shawna Donofro and Courtney Sims, who our daddy loved dearly, for the exceptional care that they have provided throughout the past several years. The family sincerely appreciates the comfort provided by Vitas Hospice for the love and support shown to each of us during our daddy’s final days, especially Nancy Dean. Nancy was not only an exceptional caregiver, but became a true friend to each of us.

If you knew Kalan, you knew there was no place he would rather be than on his boat with a fishing pole in his hand, enjoying the water and doing what he loved. Wewa was home away from home, and on the water was where he was happiest. He could spend hours fishing, riding around on his boat, and making memories that his family will hold onto forever.

And if you knew Kalan, you also knew he had his own style and was perfectly happy in his shorts, t-shirt, and of course his Wewa hat. You could find him dressed that way just about anywhere he went. He didn’t need fancy clothes to make an impression – that’s just how he was.

If Kalan’s biggest catch in life wasn’t found in the water—it was his friends and family.

His two boys, Tyler Singletary and Doodle Murphy, were his pride and joy. He loved those boys with everything he had and was always proud to call them his sons.

If you ever watched one of his boys play ball, chances are you remember seeing Kalan too. He was the dad walking up and down the sideline during his boys’ games, showing up and cheering them on. He didn’t just show up for his boys—he showed up loud and proud. Those sidelines became part of his story, and so many people will remember seeing him there, supporting his boys in the way only he could.

Kalan became “Big Daddy” when his first grandchild, Rip Murphy, was born. From that day forward, being “Big Daddy” was one of the greatest roles of his life. He loved being a grandfather and he made sure to devote special time to Rip. Every Wednesday night, Big Daddy made it a point to come see Rip. Those Wednesday night dinners may have seemed like simple moments at the time, but they are now priceless memories that will be treasured forever.

And then came Scottlynn Singletary, who quickly became another light in Big Daddy’s life. He was so proud to have a little girl. His grandchildren, Rip and Scottlynn, were truly the bright spots in his day. Being their Big Daddy was one of the greatest joys of his life.

And then there was Kansas, his fiancé and the love of his life.

Kansas knew that when she gave her heart, it would be to someone truly special. Then she met Kalan, and she knew she had found her person, her soulmate. Their love was genuine, deep, and filled with dreams for their future. They were only two short months away from saying “I DO”.

Though Kalan will not be standing beside her as they had planned, their love will still be honored. Kansas found Kalan, and in him, she found a true and unselfish love.

Kalan is proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hosie Singletary and Grace Blocker Singletary; his maternal grandparents, B. B. Ivey and Imogene Gardner Ivey.

Kalan is survived by his fiancé, Kansas Chambless; his sons Doodle Murphy (Shayna), Graceville, FL and Tyler Singletary (Payton), Grand Ridge, FL; his parents, Roger and Glenda Singletary of Slocomb, AL; his sister, Kristie DeVille (Damien), Lago Vista, Texas; his grandchildren Rip Murphy and Scottlynn Singletary; nephews, Nicholas Watkins, Alexander DeVille, Logan Deville, and niece Savannah Deville, one great niece and two great nephews, and many family members and friends who will miss him more than words can say.

Kalan wasn’t perfect, but he was ours, and he was loved deeply. He had a big heart, a big personality, and a way of leaving a mark on the people around him. His stories, his laughter, his stubborn ways, his shorts and T-shirt, that Wewa hat, his love for fishing, his boat, his sideline dad duties at his boys’ games, his Wednesday night dinners with Rip, and all the memories he made with his friends and family will forever be a part of who he was.

There will always be one more fishing trip we wish we could take with him. One more boat ride. One more Wednesday night dinner. One more game on the sideline. One more story. One more hug.

But maybe now, Kalan is exactly where he belongs.

We like to think he’s up there on a beautiful stretch of water, sitting on his boat with his fishing pole in his hand, wearing his camo shorts, T-shirt, and Wewa hat, watching over all of us and waiting for the rest of his friends and family to join him someday.

Until then, we’ll keep his memory alive by doing what he loved — loving our family, showing up for the people we love, making memories, and maybe throwing a line in the water every now and then.

Rest easy, Big Daddy.

Your boys will carry you in their hearts.
Your grandchildren will grow up knowing just how much you loved them.
Kansas will forever carry the love you two shared.
And the family you were so proud of will never forget you.

Larry will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His life was centered around the people he loved, and the family he leaves behind is a reflection of the many lives he touched throughout his 71 years. Those who knew Larry will remember his strength, his personality, and the love he carried for his family.

Throughout his life, Larry experienced both good times and difficult times, but one thing was for sure; he stayed steadfast with determination and resilience. More than anything, his greatest legacy can be found in his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends that he influenced,  and the future generations of Mansfield’s that will carry his memory forward. His presence will be deeply missed, but the stories, laughter, and moments he shared with us will remain through those who loved him.

Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia (Patti) Mansfield; son, Shane Hill; parents, Betty Lou Mansfield and Ray “Pete” Lewis; his brothers, Terry Mansfield and Gary Mansfield.

Larry is survived by his remaining family his sister, Brenda “Bennie” Sue Mansfield, his sister, Mickey Greer and his children, Larry Mansfield II; Shonda Mansfield; Miranda Mansfield and husband, Bridger; Marshall Mansfield and wife, Jullianna Mansfield; Donavan Mansfield; Chris Hill; Candace Dos Santos and husband, Gladston; and Brittany Hill, and his honorary bonus sons Joshua Whitely & Benjamin Trenkler; his grandchildren, Cameron Smith, Cydney Mansfield, Raylyn Davis, Paul Dean (PJ) Nyberg Jr., Marshall Raymond Mansfield II, Juliuz Caban Mansfield, Jace Bridger Ragland, Madison Taylor Mansfield, Marianna Rose Mansfield, Hallie, Shane II, Mason and Tatum Hill, Milo Sutton, Irelynn Dos Santos, Ilyanna Dos Santos, and Triton Mansfield (expected November 21, 2026); his great-grandchildren, Shane Hill III and Weston Hill; his niece, Donna Mansfield; and his nephew, Gary Mansfield; along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

A private interment will take place at Santa Fe Cemetery in Hampton, Florida with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. Larry will be laid to rest with his wife, Patricia Mansfield.

Don proudly served his country in the United States military, a chapter of his life that reflected his strength, dedication, and willingness to serve others. He was a hardworking man who could fix just about anything and was always willing to lend a hand. Above all, Don treasured spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his laughter, his stories, and the many wonderful memories he shared with those he loved.

He is survived by his loving wife, Leigh Reddoch Beaulieu; his mother, Marie Beaulieu; his children, Tiffany Keith and her husband, Chance, Katie Moore, and Bryan Moore and his wife, Jordan; and his many loving grandchildren.

Don is also survived by his siblings, Donna Beaulieu Smith, Denise Beaulieu, David Beaulieu, and Dalen Beaulieu, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Helen Sue is survived by her brother, Howard Gulledge (Sally) of Rockville, Indiana; and her sisters, Bunny Fivecoat of Fruitland Park, Florida, and Cheree Leugers (Jerry) of Carmel, Indiana. She is also survived by her grandsons, Alex Gulledge (Emily) of Greenwood, Florida, and Douglas Gulledge (Aydan) of Monticello, Florida; as well as her great-grandchildren, Henry “Hank” Lee Gulledge, Wyatt Byron Gulledge, and William Angus Gulledge, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lois Margaret Gulledge; her son, Jeffrey Gulledge; and her brother, Donald Gulledge.

Helen graduated from Northwest High School in Indianapolis and later earned her degree from the Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis. She devoted more than 35 years of service to the Veterans Administration healthcare system, serving in hospitals in Indianapolis, Tampa, Orlando, and Tallahassee, Florida.

She leaves behind a family and many friends who loved her deeply and will miss her dearly. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched during her tender care of the veterans at the medical facilities where she worked.

Helen Sue’s wonderful sense of humor will be truly missed and lovingly remembered.

He was raised in Dellwood, Florida and loved spending time outdoors. His love of hunting and spending time outdoors carried on through two generations. Opening day of hunting season was a National Holiday to Tim. He cherished each year he got to spend with family in the field before a dinner all together. He was self-employed and a hard worker. For over 30 years, you could find him behind the counter, doing what he enjoyed, always laughing and making a joke. He loved to make friends and never met a stranger. You always knew you would have a smile on your face after spending some time with him. He was a man of faith and a member of Cypress Community Church. Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband to Gladys.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Alva Mercer and Hazel G. Boyd; his brother, Kenn Mercer; and his stepbrother, DeWayne Cook.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gladys Mercer; son, Chris Mercer, and daughter-in-law Bridgett; granddaughter, Kinsley and husband, Dustin; great-grandson, Walker; granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Raeleigh; nieces, Jessica Mercer, Jennifer Davis, and Jordan Gonzales; his stepmother, Edna Mercer; and stepsisters, Sharon and her husband Scott, Lisa and her husband, John and numerous aunts, cousins and extended family who loved Uncle Tim.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, August 24, 2026, at Dellwood Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service.

We would like to say a special thank you to his family, his Aunt Judy, his nurses and good friends for their love and support, reminding us of God’s ever-keeping presence, always sustaining us through this difficult time.
